Where else can you go but here for a high-octane, grand prix season after-party? Into its seventh year now, The Podium Lounge is hosting its biggest three-day bash yet with an epic line-up of musical talents. Recognised as the ultimate A-List affair for the racing community, The Podium Lounge is situated within the track and directly across from The Paddock Club. It hosts Formula 1 royalty, celebrities, ambassadors, supermodels and the glamorous personalities of Asiaʼs jet-setting party elite each year.
The hotel’s grand ballroom will be transformed into a glamorous ultra-lounge, offering a magical party experience for the racing community and guests. Former racer Alex Yoong is hosting this year’s festivities, joined by E! News Asia hosts, who will be interviewing celebrity guests on the red carpet.
Party revellers will be fuelled by Red Bull this year, and will also get to mingle with a number of F1 teams and drivers who will attend again this year. There’s also an exclusive VIP Lounge to covet – it’s the place to be at if you want to spot the stars (celebrities seen in past years included British chef Gordon Ramsay and Kim Kardashian) before the high-octane activities each night.
Best DJ Line-up
Headlining opening night on Friday is Northern Irish deejay and actor Kristian Nairn (remember Hodor from Game of Thrones?). He has worked with musical acts like Scissor Sisters and Calvin Harris, fusing immense performances and both producing as well as mixing tunes live.
Mark Doyle (creator of Hed Kandi and Fierce Angel) takes over the music deck on Saturday, together with popular British celebrity saxophonist Louise Evans (also known as Lady V). Lead singer of Fierce Angel Soraya Vivian – famous for her powerful voice and high-energy performances – will also be ripping up the dance floor that night.
To end things off (on a high note, we might add), 8KY 6LU of the duo LMFAO will rock the race night away on Sunday, delivering non-stop club action and pumping up the crowd with his larger-than-life ‘party rock’ persona.
From the pit lane to the catwalk (and adding to the glamour of the adrenaline-filled Singapore Grand Prix weekend), the excitement continues as International Style Icon Carol Chen presents the ‘Covetella Fashion Circuitʼ.
As the 2015 Official Fashion Partner for The Podium Lounge, Covetella will be producing a special fashion show across all three nights on The Podium Lounge’s iconic skywalk. Guests will get an exclusive look at some of the world’s most beautiful dresses from leading international brands and emerging local designers.
Guests will also get to bid for authenticated and exceptionally rare F1 memorabilia, like a photo of triple Formula 1 World Champion Sir Jackie Stewart and a Michael Schumacher hand-signed, full-size Ferrari race suit.
World-famous speed painter Armin Flossdorf of F1 Arts will also be performing throughout the weekend. He specialises in motorsport art, using an eye-catching technique which combines acrylic and pencil on canvas.
Tickets to The Podium Lounge start from $188, while table packages range from $1,588 to $28,888.
