A lot of people have an idea for a business;, some people create a business plan for that idea, a few go on to get financial backing, but only a very small handful turn that idea into a success. We want to celebrate the people that do, so we’re on the hunt for the EX Entrepreneur of the Year.
If you’ve started up a business in Singapore or Hong Kong which is now making healthy returns then you could be in with a chance of winning. This award is all about recognising the hard work and innovation that goes into starting any business, particularly as a foreigner in Asia.
It’s also about giving something back to the local community so your business will need to have a CSR (corporate social responsibility) element too. The winner could be a gallery owner who features some local artists, a social media start-up who’s arming disadvantaged people with new skills or an independent businessperson that has charitable donations ingrained in the profit margin.
It doesn’t matter what industry you’re working in (as long as it’s legal), or how new or old the company is. If you’ve started a successful business in the region and are positively contributing to the local economy we want to hear from you.
In addition to being awarded the very prestigious accolade of EX Entrepreneur of the Year, the winner will also be featured in a three-page spread in the magazine. Remember EX is one of the few magazines in Asia that doesn’t offer ANY paid for editorial/advertorial so it’s a unique chance to promote your business.
The winner will also get to meet our four illustrious and very well connected judges who’ve all agreed to act as mentors and offer advice about growing the winner’s business.
