Yuri Bashmet and the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Russia
The Youth Symphony Orchestra of Russia, led by internationally lauded violist and conductor Yuri Bashmet, makes its highly anticipated Asian debut in Singapore this September. Held in conjunction with NUS Arts Festival 2018, the concert will see 100 young musicians handpicked from auditions in cities across Russia thrill Singaporeans with a breathtaking performance.
Also gracing the performance as a guest soloist from Singapore will be Chloe Chua, in her first orchestral appearance after her first-prize win in the Junior Category at the Menuhin Competition in April. At just 11 years old, the young violinist is set to dazzle the audience with her poise, stage confidence and musical maturity, in the delightful Vivaldi double violin concerto with Tatiana.
