Frenemies – a comedy drama directed by Susie Penrice Tyrie
6 December - 15 December
Two strangers, each residing in Singapore and Malaysia, are thrown together by a simple customer service request. Things rapidly spiral out of control and what follows, escalates into a war of words so absurd, it could put the most dedicated pen pals to shame. Somewhere amid the petty complaints, personal digs, and strange admissions, two souls realise they might have more in common than they thought.
Frenemies is a anti-romantic comedy that’s a laugh-out-loud journey through love, hate and all the dangerous places in-between. It doesn’t mention the ‘C’ word – but is a satirical reminder that love is for every day and not just for Christmas.
This play is directed by Susie Penrice Tyrie, with the lead roles played by Amit Joshi and Chandi Perera. It runs from 6 to 8 December and 13 to 15 December, 7pm on Fridays to Saturdays and 3pm on Sundays. Tickets are from $25 to $35.
