Tapestries of Grief: Witnessing through Art Therapy | Community Art Exhibition
4 September - 25 September
Tapestries of Grief is an inaugural festival in Singapore that reflects on each person’s unique grief experience. Through talks, experiential workshops and a community art exhibition, the festival explores our emotions and responses and reflections towards death grief and loss, and how we may support persons those who are grieving.
Share in the unique yet universal experience of grief expressions at the Tapestries of Grief: Witnessing Through Art Therapy, a community art exhibition from 4 to 25 September 2021 at Plaza Singapura.
Titled “Witnessing through Art Therapy”, How does grief look like? How does grief sound like? In collaboration with 15 community partners, the art installation features artworks co-created by bereaved persons from all walks of life and helping professionals, including doctors, social workers, art therapists and counsellors.
Come join us to hear directly from bereaved persons – what do they wish to tell their loved one? What message do they have for the community in supporting a bereaved person?
Tapestries of Grief is organised by Grief Matters, a movement by Montfort Care, and is held in conjunction with the 2021 Grief and Bereavement Conference organised by Singapore Hospice Council.
