Squeeze – Live in Singapore
4 May @ 8:00 pm - 11:30 pm
Iconic British new wave band Squeeze will be performing in Singapore this May as part of their upcoming tour. The band are currently in the studio recording the follow up to 2015’s critically acclaimed Cradle to the Grave which was written as a soundtrack to Danny Baker’s BBC TV sitcom ‘Cradle To Grave’ (starring Peter Kay). Their hits include tracks such as “Cool For Cats”, “Up The Junction” and “Tempted”, they also have Cradle To The Grave to draw on, their first collection of new tracks since 1998. This album marked the complete and, frankly, triumphant reintegration of the masterful songwriting axis of Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook, in a beautifully-observed series of fond vignettes about childhood, growing up and the absurdities of the ride through life we’re all on.
The current line-up will feature founder member Glenn Tilbrook, long-standing touring members Stephen Large and Simon Hanson, and the new addition of bassist Yolanda Charles and Steve Smith on percussion.
