Ride for Rainbows 2020
4 October @ 4:00 am - 12:00 pm
Ride for Rainbows 2020 is an annual cycling event organised by Club Rainbow (Singapore). Club Rainbow (Singapore) is a non-profit organisation that supports and empowers children with chronic and potentially life-threatening illnesses and their families. The event aims to raise funds to provide children and their families with services and programmes to improve their quality of life, and promote health and fitness.
There are two non-competitive cycling categories to take part in: 20km and 70km. Each category has a different qualifying amount for donations. Registration is free.
This year’s edition will also include a new wheelchair category, which is open to the beneficiaries of Club Rainbow and their caregiver. The caregivers will push children on their wheelchair for 2km to raise funds for other families in Club Rainbow. One of the beneficiaries, Jeremiah Liauw, who was diagnosed with Spinal Bifida, will be hand cycling to raise funds for his peers at Club Rainbow. The 13-year-old is a para-athlete who has won several gold medals in swimming competitions.
