Raising Kids Overseas
18 May @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm$20
We all know parenting is hard – and it doesn’t come with a manual. (We wish it did!) It can make things doubly hard when you’re overseas, living a different life to the one you would be if you’d stayed in your “home country”.
The purpose of this talk is to share with parents areas of consideration for fostering responsibility in their kids’ lives. Key areas covered include:
- Getting on the same parenting page;
- Four rules about rules;
- Four rules about consequences;
- How kids try to avoid consequences; and
- Common parenting issues faced throughout the child/teen years
