‘Postcard Stories’: Pop-Up Installation by Yip Yew Chong
2 July - 30 September
In celebration of Singapore’s 60th year of independence, The Fullerton Heritage has announced a special collaboration with Singaporean artist Yip Yew Chong, recreating nostalgic postcard scenes of The Fullerton Heritage precinct to tell vivid stories of Singapore’s evolving cityscape. Titled ‘Postcard Stories’, the installation features 32 metres of hand-painted murals in hues of old postcards, interspersed with three-dimensional pop-up props.
Located at One Fullerton’s Seaview Channel, the installation invites visitors to spot familiar present-day icons hidden within unfamiliar, bygone scenes depicted in old postcards. As part of the experience, artist Yip Yew Chong will paint and set up the scenes live on site from 2 to 13 July. Guests and passers-by are welcome to witness the creative process in real time, offering a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into the artist’s techniques and storytelling approach.
The ‘Postcard Stories’ stories will run from 14 July to 30 September 2025.
