Orchids of the Andes

Head over to Gardens by the Bay to catch a glimpse of the beautiful flora that grow in the Andes. Spanning more than 5,000km across seven South American countries – Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina – the Andes is the longest continental mountain range in the world and is renowned for its wealth of biodiversity.
You’ll get to see 3,000 orchids of 85 types over the course of this display and rare species such as the Epidendrum medusae, an orchid named after the mythological Greek monster Medusa, named for its fringed lip resembling her head of snakes. Don’t miss out on this chance to view this collection of unusual and eye-catching South American orchids.
