Hair for Hope by Children’s Cancer Foundation
27 July @ 11:00 am - 28 July @ 6:00 pm
Back for the 17th consecutive year, Hair for Hope is Children’s Cancer Foundation’s (CCF) signature public outreach event – the only head-shaving event in Singapore that serves to raise funds and awareness of childhood cancer.
Through the symbolic gesture of shaving bald, we aim to create awareness of childhood cancer in Singapore, show children with cancer and their families that they are not alone in their fight, tell children with cancer that it is OK to be bald, raise funds to help children with cancer and their families and build a community of support for children with cancer and their families.
Every shaven head in Hair for Hope represents the understanding by an individual of the ordeals that a child with cancer is subjected to. By volunteering to shave, shaves become CCF ambassadors in helping to raise awareness of childhood cancer among their family and friends. It also provides an opportunity to garner support from the public in the form of donations.
Log on to https://www.hairforhope.org.sg to register as a shavee or make a donation to support the cause! Online registration will close on 11 July 2019. Members of the public are also welcome to sign up on the spot at the event! A minimum donation of $20 is encouraged for all walk-in shavees. Registration will commence at 10am on both days!
Join us now to make a bald statement and support children and families affected by cancer!
Registration takes place at VivoCity, Amphitheatre, Level 3 (near Food Republic), whilst the event itself takes place at Central Court 1 and 2, on Level 1 in VivoCity.
