#GBK85: A retrospective on Singapore Artist Goh Beng Kwan
20 May @ 11:00 am - 29 May @ 9:00 pm
Cultural Medallion Recipient and Pioneer Generation Artist Goh Beng Kwan celebrates 85 years with 85 works in solo exhibition #GBK85. In celebration of his 85th year of life, #GBK85 will be a revolutionary presentation of Goh’s traditional and digital works. It will be the artist’s first solo exhibition since 1991.
An entire floor of Conrad Centennial Singapore will be transformed into a physical and AR immersive experience. The exhibition will take you on a journey through time, where attendees will be able to see Goh’s wide spectrum of art, including never-before-seen works under Goh’s Covid-19 Series, documenting specific events and his emotions experienced during this historic period.
This is the first time a local artist is exhibiting on a whole floor in a hotel – attendees can expect to view Goh’s artworks in physical form, as well as in the form of Augmented Reality, where art pieces come to life through a dedicated ArtAF app.
In addition, Samsung is also offering an opportunity for visitors to win 10 NFTS from four selected artworks that have been minted for this exhibition via a contest. The partnership allows visitors to view a curation of 11 artworks in moving visual and audio details with the help of Samsung Galaxy S22+ or S22 5G smartphones through the ArtAF app.
