Knowing first aid is an essential skill to have as it can make a significant difference in the outcome of an emergency situation. With school holidays just around the corne, it’s a great time to sharpen up our knowledge about what to do in case of a mishap or sudden illness.
In this talk with Dr Shivani Paliwal, you’ll learn how to handle emergencies such as heat stroke, insect bites, high fever and food poisoning, plus what you need to have in your first aid kit and more.

About Dr Shivani Paliwal
Dr Shivani is Head of Department for IMC Children Clinic and a Board Certified Paediatrician from the USA. During her 15+ years of experience, she has practised in hospital settings in high-intensity emergency rooms and trauma centres in New York and New Jersey. In addition, she has been a Consultant Paediatrician providing medical care for a diverse variety of paediatric illnesses with expertise in emergencies, trauma, newborn care, adolescent medicine and mental health. Dr Shivani has also been involved in medical education, supervising and teaching medical students, and training residents and fellows. With a passion for emerging technologies and a keen eye on modern digital approaches to expand her practice of evidence-based medicine, she believes in a holistic approach to medical care and timely intervention when necessary.
