Explore the evolution, symbolism, and the role of the qin in Chinese culture with Elegant Sounds: Music, Craft, and the Literati, a new multi-sensory exhibition in the Scholars Gallery.
Developed in consultation with renowned qin master Dr Kee Chee Koon with support from master craftsman Ning Qunhui, Elegant Sounds presents a stunning display of close to 100 objects, including ancient instruments, bronzes, paintings, ceramics, and rare books.
Through interactive stations, a dedicated space for performance and reflection, and regular updates to the artworks displayed, the exhibition brings the qin to life, ensuring fresh points of interest and engagement for visitors.
