Cultural Extravaganza 2023

SCCC’s Cultural Extravaganza returns for its sixth edition with 11 exciting programmes that are cross-cultural, cross-disciplinary and cross-generational. Taking place from 12 May to 18 June 2023, the programmes highlight the passing on of our culture to the next generation. From theatre productions, music performances, to TV programmes, Cultural Extravaganza aims to showcase how our culture has evolved over time.

Key programmes to look out for:

Present Past – is a music theatrical production bringing together the characters from different timelines to explore values from the past, the present and finding the meaning of the future through self-discovery.

Ignite The Sun – is a musical which centres around the ingenuity of Nanyang University in the 1950s to the birth of Shiyue with its Chinese Poetry Club in the 1970s.

Dr Liang Wen Fu shares his Xinyao Journey – a discussion about his deeply-rooted songs celebrating Singapore’s local Chinese cultural asset.
