Bukit Brown Cemetery Walk-SOLD OUT
23 March, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am
A walk through Bukit Brown Cemetery promises a rich blend of nature and history. Opened in 1922, Bukit Brown has roughly 100,000 tombs belonging to various Chinese social classes. Chew Joo Chiat, the “King of Katong”, is buried here, just to name one prominent figure. It’s a very peaceful place to take a walk and learn about Singapore’s history.
Expat Living’s Event Manager Susan will meet you at 235 Arcadia Road, s289843
Please remember to wear comfortable shoes and clothes – and don’t forget to bring water and mosquito repellent!
Date: 23 March
Time: 9am-10.30am
Place: Bukit Brown Cemetery – meeting point at Arcadia Road
Additional things to remember: Be respectful – this is a cemetery, after all. Avoid stepping on tombs and refrain from making too much noise. There aren’t any toilets at Bukit Brown; the closest one is at Botanic Gardens MRT.
In case of heavy rain, you’ll be informed one hour before if the walk will continue or not, so please remember to put down your mobile number when you register. Spots are limited and it’s a first-come-first-served basis.
