A Child’s View art exhibition
17 April - 16 June
Singapore based Japanese artist Tsuyumi Miwa presents her new exhibition, A Child’s View, a selection of paintings in which she captures the enchanting and innocent, fleeting moments in the lives of children.
All paintings are for sale and part of the proceeds will be donated to VIVA, a registered Singapore-based charity which focuses on saving the lives of children with cancer through excellence in research, medical care and education.
Tsuyumi studied fine art at Tama Art University in Tokyo and worked as an actress and announcer on radio and television for many years before moving to Singapore. She has been working as an artist here for the last few years, creating commissioned artworks that echo elements of Joaquín Sorolla and Andrew Wyeth in her use of light and shadow.
This exhibition is held in collaboration with the Singapore Musical Box Museum. The theme connects with the whimsical antique musical boxes on display at the museum with a tune chosen for each painting.
