Helpers & Money Management
27 May @ 10:00 am - 11:30 pm
Calling all with domestic helpers in Singapore! JiPay is organising a brunch seminar on managing household finances.
Have you ever struggled with managing your helper’s grocery spending? Have you had to run to the ATM at the last minute before work to leave your helper with enough cash for the day’s errands? Have you ever had tough conversations with your helper about how she manages her own finances?
For many expats arriving in Singapore, hiring a helper can come with its own set of challenges and uncertainties, one of which is usually money management.
Shiva (Growth Lead) and Dayana (CEO) from JiPay are partnering with Expat Living for a sharing session with helpers and employers to have an open conversation about finances. The session will also cover how families can use JiPay to address finance-related pain points such as spend management, salary payments and remittances. You’ll also get a chance to sign up for JiPay and earn a special bonus upon signup via Expat Living!
Date: 27 May
Place: Host, 9 Mohamed Sultan Road
Coffee will be served!
JiPay is a money app that allows for the management of a helper’s expenses via JiPay’s free prepaid Mastercard. Helpers use it to do the groceries, while employers use the app to top up funds and view spending. JiPay saves employers time having to run to the ATM and go through receipts. As for helpers, the JiPay card eliminates the need to constantly ask for cash, or carry loose change. The company’s next step is to offer personal accounts to domestic workers that will allow helpers to receive, save, spend and remit money back to their families all through the same app. Founded by expat Dayana Yermolayeva in 2020, JiPay eliminates daily struggles for many expatriate households in Singapore.
