Looking for something a bit different for lunch or dinner aside from your usual restaurant haunts? Then head to the island. We mean Sentosa island resort of course; now home to Sofitel’s stunning new five-star addition to their hotel portfolio – Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa – which (yes, you guessed it from the name) comes complete with a 6,000 square metre spa (aka pampering heaven) and eatery.
Picture the scenario: you’ve just emerged from So SPA’s doors, blissfully pampered from head to toe with a massage or facial using the best of French cosmetology, and are feeling suitably relaxed and rejuvenated. Then, your stomach grumbles: but, you fancy a nice wholesome meal rather than fried or fatty foods to extend that zen and pure feeling. Where can you head to?
Why, just next door actually! Located within the elegantly conserved heritage colonial building next to the spa, The Garden restaurant boasts tons of character (think floor to ceiling windows and lots of natural light) as well as a new health-orientated menu guests.
The restaurant’s revamped menu features new healthy cuisine for all tastes. Each dish is made with fresh, natural ingredients and comes complete with a calorie count for the health-conscious (guilt-free dining at it’s finest!)
On the menu: you can chow down on anything from ethically sourced meats, nutritious soups and wraps or choose to customise your own salad. Our favourite picks? Try the slow cooked chicken breast with spinach mousse, roasted baby vegetables and mango yoghurt sauce (pictured above), or the sweet warm pan cake with poached pear. And whether you dine indoors or alfresco by the pool, you can’t really beat the views of the lush forest and tranquil surroundings.
