There are plenty of things to do during the Easter weekend. For a relaxing time with family and friends over a great meal, kid-friendly restaurant Picotin Express has an exciting line-up of Good Friday specials – including delicious plates of European bistro cuisine, plus fun contests and prizes for adults and children alike.
What to expect
From 29 March to 18 April, Picotin Express’s Joo Chiat and Bukit Timah restaurants are running a Good Friday contest, with some pretty neat prizes. More details will be released on their Facebook page soon, but for now you can stand a chance to score up to $50 vouchers, with winners announced on 19 April. Kids aren’t left out, either! On Good Friday, look out for an egg-painting contest where selected winners will walk away with $25 vouchers.
Over the Easter weekend, you can look forward to a menu at Picotin Express. Start with a hearty roasted sweet potato with carrot soup ($15), then tuck into the classic Scotch eggs ($18), served with a refreshing citrus salad and mustard dip. For mains, the asparagus pesto risotto with green peas and toasted pine nuts ($24) makes for an excellent vegetarian option. If you prefer something meaty, try the rosemary roast lamb with roasted vegetables, herb potato and garlic ($30) – perfect for sharing with the fam! Then, round up the meal with a well-deserved dessert; the marmalade bread and butter pudding ($12) will please those with a sweet tooth.
For all occasions
Throwing a holiday party or other type of bash? Picotin Express is well suited for all kinds of gatherings, whether it’s a cosy family dinner, a monthly meet-up with friends, or a private gathering. The setting in both restaurants is casual and relaxed, so you can feel free to drop by after work for a well-deserved pint, or turn up in shorts for a laidback brunch on a Saturday.
The East Coast outlet (382 Joo Chiat Road) features historic colonial architecture, and can seat up to 200 guests across its outdoor and indoor areas. It also has a sound system and projector, plus a football and snooker table. Meanwhile, the Bukit Timah location (60 Fairways Drive), overlooking the Champions Golf Course, seats up to 250 people and features an alfresco deck that’s perfect for group gatherings. Bonus points for Picotin Bukit Timah’s mini golf course and nine-hole course, which make team bonding activities and kids’ parties extra fun. Special kids’ party menus are available at both locations, with pizzas, burgers, hot dogs and brownies among the fan favourites.
