Volunteering in Singapore can be fun, formal and festive. That’s what the team at First Hand Volunteers, a Singapore society that helps charities in support of children in Cambodia, had in mind when they threw their banner charity ball and gala event this year. The Black & White Masquerade Ball, held at Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel, hosted over 250 guests for an evening of performance art, live auctions, designer ball gowns, stilt walkers and jugglers, free-flow beverages, premiere face-painting, a gourmet meal and a hot-stepping dance floor that stayed open far past midnight. Entertainment was provided by S.T.E.P. dance duo and Kunjung.
Held in partnership with Marriott Hotels, IFS Capital, Song Saa Private Island, L’Officiel Singapore, Covetella and Tresor Galleria, the Black & White Masquerade Ball raised over $100k to support of the prevention of child trafficking in Cambodia. 100% of the proceeds from the charity gala go toward earmarked charities Riverkids and Damnok Toek in the Siem Reap and Phnom Penh regions of Cambodia.
