Celebrity sighting (almost!): Madame Tussauds Singapore kicks off with Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton

When we wandered along to Marina Bay to check out the race circuit ahead of Singapore’s Formula One this weekend, we didn’t expect to bump into Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel hanging out by the water…

Why so serious, Lewis?

…well, not quite in the flesh. To celebrate both the Grand Prix and the upcoming opening of Madame Tussauds Singapore, the cheeky wax experts shipped in models of the F1 stars for a sneaky peek of what’s to come. They’re the first of the museum’s celebrity figures to arrive on our shores before doors open in Sentosa on October 25 2014.

Having not been to Madame Tussauds ourselves, these two chaps soaking in the sights on Helix Bridge almost fooled us. Well played!

Aside from Hamilton and Vettel, celebrity figures in Singapore’s edition will include Brad Pitt, Beyonce, David Beckham and Lady Gaga.

Disappointed this sighting wasn’t the real deal? The speedsters themselves will be going head to head on track this weekend. Perhaps you might run in to them at one of the many A-list after-parties? Never say never.
