Five buffet caterers for your holiday party

Updated on 26th November 2018 by Amy Greenburg |

Caterers in Singapore

Want to be the hostess with the mostest this holiday season, but without the stress? Get it catered! Whether you’re throwing a New Year’s Eve bash for 50 guests, or a Christmas soiree for 10, here are five caterers in Singapore that can create festive buffets to suit your budget. All you’ll have to worry about is finding the perfect party outfit!

Stamford Catering

This certified Halal caterer has a wide range of international offerings, from Japanese classics and Chinese favourites to barbecue spreads, Western dishes and a selection of healthier choices cooked with less oil, salt and MSG. For Christmas, Stamford’s got a selection of packages to choose from, including the “Frosty Feast” at $18 per person (before GST). Menu highlights include Hungarian beef goulash, salmon and garlic fried rice, seafood alfredo linguine and dark chocolate fudge cake, with the option to add on a variety of other items like roast turkey with mushroom stuffing, log cake and all kinds of festive platters; the choices seem endless! Just be sure to order at least two days in advance. Order here.

Stamford Catering

ECreative Catering

This Halal-certified catering service always has something to suit everyone’s taste, and the holiday season is no different, with various buffet packages and mini party sets available. We like the sounds of the “Christmas Package B,” which includes 12 dishes and a complimentary log cake (worth $40). Highlights include roasted whole turkey with stuffing and cranberry sauce, oven-baked lemon drummet, a Christmas platter of chicken honey ham and mini sausages, and a sushi and maki appetiser platter. Priced at $21.90 per person (without GST), this package is available from 10 December to 1 January 2019. Psst – place your order two days in advance, as they’re super busy with the holidays approaching! Order here.

ECreative’s chocolate log cake

Bayfront Catering

This caterer has over a dozen different buffet options to choose from, and starting at just $8.82 a head. Bayfront’s special Christmas menu, available now through 1 January 2019 for $16.80 per person (before GST), features 11 courses including an assorted turkey ham and cold platter, baked tiger prawns with cheese, Spanish-style tomato sauce fried rice and other Asian specialty choices. We’d suggested ordering at least five days in advance to be on the safe side! You can place your order here.

Bayfront Catering

Grain

This Halal-certified caterer has special Christmas party set for 10 (available from 1 to 30 December) featuring 10 dishes for $288 ($308 with GST). Highlights include a smoked turkey croissant platter with sliced brie, Grain Christmas brown rice with corn and cranberry, garlic-roasted wild mushrooms with Brussels sprouts and asparagus, sous vide chicken with rosemary jus, sirloin beef roast with coffee demi-glace, baby potatoes and pumpkin, and Christmas fruit brioche loaf with dried fruit. There’s also an option for add-ons like beef and chicken meatballs, sous vide whole turkey and more. Grain’s also got festive mini buffets available, and festive buffets for larger groups at different price points. Early bird offer: place your Christmas party set order here before 30 November to get complimentary sparkling juice and happy hats included!

Grain

Curry Pot

Though this caterer’s signature dish is chicken curry, they’ve got a wide range of different cuisines to suit your guests’ palates – from international Western menus to Asian delights to Indian delicacies, plus a dedicated kids’ buffet options. For Christmas, Curry Pot’s got a handful of special buffet spreads and Christmas party sets. We’d suggest the “Christmas Party Set A” ($211; or, $225.77 with GST), which feeds 10 people. Available from 3 December through 19 January, this set features nine fixed items including a mixed herb Cajun chicken salad to start, a traditional cold platter with chicken honey ham, turkey ham and mini sausages, baked Italian pumpkin pilaf rice with chestnuts and cranberries, roasted herb chicken with honey sesame miso gravy and Christmas log cake, among other items. It’s best to order at last two days in advance to avoid disappointment! You can place your order here.
