Embrace the blues with these cool pieces

21st March 2018 by Amy Brook-Partridge 2 Min Read

Just because Christmas has been and gone, doesn’t mean the shopping has to be over. Beat the blues and cast your eyes over these beauties. These gorgeous blue furniture pieces will provide very cool accent pieces for your home.

Lim’s Holland Village

The January blues are as real as real can be. They’re like an overhanging cloud screaming ‘take me back to the festivities!’ One way I beat the blues is coffee, coffee, and more coffee! Of course, a good workout – some spring cleaning, for example – will break the moodiness; so, getting ready for Chinese New Year, including the cleaning and organising, is like killing two birds with one stone. Chinese New Year is exciting and something to look forward to anyway, with all the decorations, family reunions and the food, so reds and golds are my way to fight the blues head on! – Audrey Lim, Lim’s Holland Village

Hacienda Blue

Lucky us to be living in Singapore where the sun shines every day and the skies are blue! To best those January blues I’d advise indulging in all the offerings on our great island, including heading to Sentosa for a spot of sun and sea. Watch the sun go down with a Pimm’s in hand, and enjoy the quiet time before the year starts to rev up again. – Josephine Harrison, Hacienda Blue

To be honest, I don’t really get the January blues, because my birthday is in January so I always have that to look forward to! Then, of course, there’s Chinese New Year, so there’s always another big celebration once December is over. – Laura Lee, Lee’s Antiques

Amy Brook-Partridge

Amy has two kids, one dog and one husband - although she'd love to have more than one (dog, that is). She's mad about F45 training, running and playing Gaelic football, when she isn't injured or drinking a little too much wine.
