The fire extinguisher that looks good!

1st September 2020 by Expat Living 2 Min Read

https://expatliving.sg/best-fire-extinguisher-that-looks-good-in-your-home/

What’s sleek and stylish, goes with your home décor, and could also save lives? What if we told you the answer is a fire extinguisher? Not just any old fire extinguisher, but an entirely re-imagined and re-engineered one, which also happens to look great in the home!

It’s pretty obvious why we should all have a fire extinguisher handy, but not many of us think to invest in one for our homes. And, for those who do have this life-saving piece of kit, how many of you have placed it somewhere in storage, where only you (maybe) know its location?

Revamped design

The folks behind the Saviore Ziniz brand have completely redesigned the traditional extinguisher. They’ve created a sleek yet practical version that not only would we want in our home, but we’d also display proudly.

The problem with traditional fire extinguishers is that they’re complex to use, bulky and an eyesore. That’s why they often get stowed away instead of being placed in an easy-to-reach area. Worse, in an emergency where every second counts, traditional fire extinguishers can be heavy and confusing to operate.

That’s why Pellen Sung, the Taiwanese designer behind the innovative Saviore range, was inspired to create a functional yet elegant version of the traditional extinguisher.

Practicalities first

While this is indeed a stylish item (and a great house-warming gift), let’s not forget its primary use is to keep your family and home safe from fires. Research shows that tackling flames within the first 10 seconds (known as the “golden window”) is the best way to put out a fire. With Saviore, you can simply grab, pop the lid, and press the button to spray the foaming agent. It’s as easy as using hairspray.

The Saviore range has the ideal combination of safety and aesthetics. It uses a non-toxic foaming agent, with a lightweight design and intuitive spray function that even children and elderly can use with ease.

While the extinguisher wouldn’t look out of place on a sideboard or table, it also comes with an innovative magnetic casing that allows you to stick it to your fridge. Or, if you prefer, you can wall-mount them with the enclosed fastenings.

The idea is that every family member should be able to grab and spray in the event of an emergency.

There are seven different colours; choose from the best-selling rose-gold, champagne-gold, shining-black, gold, black, red and limited-edition white marble. You can then just re-order the inner replacement agent bottles once used.
