Beerfest Asia: Comedy, music and 400 pints

When we say 400 pints, we’re talking about the number of types of beer rather than challenging you to the most reckless drink off there ever was.

Men (and those few women who can hold their booze like lads) in Singapore will be chuffed to hear that Beerfest Asia is coming to town this weekend. Kicking off on the 13 June at the Marina Promenade, the festival runs for four days and features all sorts of drinks, comedy to laugh at while drinking drinks, food to soak up the drinks and music to bob around to after the drinks.

The menu will feature award winning beers, old classics and brand new pints – with the best part being that they’re all in one very cool place. And, if you’re an ‘here’s one I made earlier’ type, stop by the Craft Beer Experience area to learn about the brewing process and how to do it yourself at home (you get a kit to crack on with and everything).

Aside from the opportunity to get a tad silly, Beerfest also features a decent entertainment line up thanks to the Comedy Club Asia’s involvement. Their most popular performers will be taking to the stage, including award winning local comedians Sons of Singapore and international acts Tom Rhodes, Stephen Grant and Steve Allison.

And once you’ve had a few (dozen) drinks and a good laugh, tribute bands including Killer Queen and The Australian Guns ‘n’ Roses Show will be stepping up (not at the same time, that would be either a disaster or epic) and rocking out until the early hours.

Where: Marina Promenade
When: June 13 6pm-1am, June 14/15 6pm – late and June 16 12pm – 10pm
