Beer enthusiasts! Oktoberfest returns to Singapore tonight

Beer fans (i.e. all men and a healthy portion of probably not very healthy women)! Oktoberfest Asia returns to Singapore on this very evening with a four-day celebration of authentic Bavarian eating, drinking and general partying at the Keppel Island Plaza. Cue manly whoops.

If you purchase tickets, you will be treated to exclusive German beer and liquor, traditional gourmet grub and authentic Bavarian entertainment all day and night – from the comforts of an air-conditioned marquee.

The four-day festival opens with the appearance of legendary German footballer Dietmar Hamann – Oktoberfest Asia’s official ambassador. Another highlight, so we hear, is the very decent Bavarian band, The Original Hofbräuhaus Show.

You’ll never be without a pint in your hand at this bash; it’s supported by all sorts of traditional breweries, including Paulaner Brauhaus, Schneider Weisse and Spaten. Naturally, German spirit Jägermeister will also play a big part in the proceedings. Take that, and throw in some pork knuckles, bratwurst, meatloaf and goulash, and you’re laughing.
