The Stately Prince ($75): consultation, shampoo, condition, haircut or restyle, hot towel neck shave, finish
The Ritzy Viscount ($70): signature luxury hot towel straight razor shave
“Jermyn Street is a conveniently-located barber with a bright, large space. Comfy barber chairs and a smart team makes the place fit for a bespoke grooming session, which was what I truly needed after some weeks of untouched facial hair. The experience started with a tipple – a single malt Glengoyne that saw me on my way from the service desk to the barber’s chair. After my hair was suitably prepped and washed, the cut started. I opted for nothing too drastic – more of a correction after numerous budget haircuts. Then, onto the clean shave (after a Monkey Shoulder whisky top-up). A quick trim, a hot towel and eye mask followed; thereafter my barber Dee applied shaving cream and smoothly cut those final nanometres of hair from my face while I slowly dozed off for around 20 minutes.
I’m happy with the end result; the whole process took a little under an hour and I enjoyed some well-needed downtime after a busy work week. I got more than what I wanted, with some added feedback from a professional barber. It’s definitely a worthwhile experience that can tidy you up the right way for the right occasion.”
Abhishek Gaur, 43, Australian
The Dapper Duke ($65): shampoo, condition, haircut, finish
Dashing Baron (from $50): beard grooming (scissors, clippers and straight razor)
“My beard and hair had looked unorganised and required a good trim. Jermyn Street Singapore has a bar at the entrance that got my attention. Plus, there’s a comfy and relaxing waiting area, and the treatment space is rather spacious, too. My barber Sam, who had previously trained in the UK, did a fantastic job in listening to what I wanted and repeated it to ensure we were on the same page. He also made a few suggestions and recommendations about my cut. The experience started with shampooing, followed by a haircut and then beard-trimming. Sam was proactive and polite with his instructions and explained every possible detail during the treatment.
After the session, I left feeling completely refreshed with a neat hairdo and well-groomed beard. I love the finished look and can’t thank Sam enough for a great job that he did. I’ll be back for sure!”
