Check out this vegan skincare brand

19th March 2021 by Anthia Chng 3 Min Read

Update your beauty regime with an affordable skincare brand made in Australia with natural ingredients. Based in Singapore, Wildcherry Organics is a sustainable and cruelty-free skincare line. It features a vegan night cream and face cleanser incorporating carefully sourced organic ingredients and superfoods. We talk to the creator and got one of our team to try it out!

Our Review of this affordable skincare

“I love natural skincare and found both the Superfood Gel Cleanser ($30) and the Vegan Night Cream ($35) to be great discoveries. My skin has a tendency to be dry and many face cleansers I’ve tried have left it feeling stripped and irritated. The lightweight gel cleanser is super gentle. The gel formula has a smooth texture and almost disappears between your fingertips. It produces a good lather and takes off my makeup completely. It doesn’t tighten my skin nearly as much as most face cleansers do, and is all-round refreshing.

The night cream is particularly suited for dry or mature skin. Naturally scented with lavender, chamomile and bergamot, the product reminds me of a light scent from a spa, which makes it a real bedtime treat. I found that it went on very easily, and you really don’t need much thanks to the density of the cream. It absorbed well and didn’t feel sticky or greasy. I woke up in the morning thinking, “Actually, my skin feels really lovely”.

I’m glad I took a chance with these products. My skin feels hydrated and healthy, so Wildcherry Organics receives a huge recommendation from me. It’s just simply refreshing to reset after a day of work with this nourishing, all-natural cleanser and night cream.”

What’s the story behind the brand?

I’ve always been passionate about plants, health and beauty. I first started working at a nursery in the florist industry, so I was well aware of the health benefits that nature provides. Along with my family in Australia, I spent a lot of time learning from the best health and beauty specialists. When I was nursing my youngest child, I couldn’t find breastfeeding- and pregnancy-safe skincare in Singapore. That was when I decided to start my own range of vegan skincare that are safe for mums, and Wildcherry Organics was born.

Tell us about the products.

We’re very particular about the natural ingredients used in our skincare products. A lot of time is invested into researching the source of the ingredients and their efficacy. Each product undergoes rigorous in-house testing. But at the same time we wanted to keep it affordable skincare.

Wheatgrass is a key ingredient in our Superfood Gel Cleanser, which is suitable for all skin types. Its detoxifying properties reinvigorate the complexion and flush out impurities and toxins, bringing the skin “back to life”. Another key ingredient is the Kakadu plum, a native superfood from Northern Australia. In addition to its antiseptic properties, it’s full of antioxidants, minerals and vitamins. It also helps to detoxify the skin and fade scarring. Our Night Cream is suitable for all skin types, too; its antibacterial properties make it exceptionally healing for those with oily, blemished and problematic skin, and nourishing for those with dry and ageing skin.

How is Wildcherry eco-friendly?

I’m always working on making the brand as sustainable and environmentally responsible as possible. Our labels are made from recycled waste papers and our bottles are recyclable. All our products are made in an eco lab, which has been custom built on the Gold Coast in Queensland.
