15 places to hit on World Beer Day

There’s World Chocolate Day, World Burger Day, and even International Picnic Day – but did you know that beer has its own special day too? With World Beer Day coming up (4 August, which also happens to be on a Friday this year!), we’ve put together a list of beer places you and your buds can hit to celebrate and enjoy a couple of pints to end the working week in style.

Look forward to unique handcrafted beers at this beer bar, including a dark ale called Blk 622, pale ale The Yellow Van and a fruit beer called The General. Beer-inspired dishes are on offer, too; we like the Smoked Duck Paddle, which is smoked with beer wort and served with a sauce of berry compote, and pastas that are handmade using the same grains used in the brewing process.

#2 Good Luck Beerhouse

Housed in Haji Lane, this cosy bar offers eight rotating craft beers and over 50 other beers, ciders and alcoholic beverages including the Yeastie Boys Pot Kettle Black and Arrogant Bastard Ale by Stone.

#3 Brewerkz

Specialising in award-winning handcrafted beers, Brewerkz produces a total of six signature beers including a golden ale, India pale ale and oatmeal stout, and it serves a decent number of seasonal beers that can be found at any of its four outlets.

Housing over 16 beer infusion towers with eight taps consisting of draft beers from Little Island Brewing Co, Alchemist’s uniquely crafted infused beers include 50 Shades of Pink – apple cider and pink guava – and Obama – stout, marshmallow, vanilla pod and mint leaf, as well as draft beers such as Naked Lager and Sister Golden Ale.
